Supremes May Consider Defense of Marriage Act

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg hinted in a speech at the University of Colorado in Boulder that the U.S. Supreme Court may consider the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which recognizes marriage between a man and a woman.

Supreme Court Denies Request to Stay Interim Texas Redistricting Maps

The U.S. Supreme Court has denied a request by the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) to issue a stay on the interim redistricting maps pending drawing of remedial maps in accordance with the order issued by the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia denying Section 5 preclearance under the Voting Rights Act.
